Absinthe on Ebay
They say that the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Well, the road to finding good absinthe related items on Ebay is paved with terrible murderers waiting to kill you at every turn. Let's short list the pitfalls of buying on Ebay:
- Absinthe kits--if you buy these you deserve your fate. They're terrible, dangerous, and (most importantly) not absinthe
- Absinthe "essence"--if you value your life then don't buy, try, or use
- Absinthe creams, perfumes, soaps, etc.
- Fake absinthe bottles, labels, glasses, etc.--just because they say its a period piece doesn't mean that it is a period piece
- I'm sure there's more but that's all I could come up with at the moment

Now, this isn't it say that you can't find something halfway decent on Ebay. An old glass here, a dripper there, maybe a poster, who knows? You could find something great but I wouldn't hold my breath. In short, the only pleasure that could possibly be derived from the Ebay Absinthe market is similar to the pleasure derived from a long-winded scavenger hunt. If you like the quest then go forth! (hell, it could be fun)
